I have really only one thing to say about Wu Bai & China Blue - They Rock!

The lead singer 伍佰 is way cool when he struts his guitar stuff on stage. Sorry, I'm sure the other guys are great too. But being a guitar player myself I'm partial to the instrument. And this guy really knows how to wield his axe. I think they should ditch the keyboard guy to get a rhythm guitarist, and tell the bassist to do more than stand around.

I think many of his songs are so-so in terms of melody and arrangement. It's his "brute force method" to delivering the music that hooks you. Nothing epitomizes rock-and-roll more than brute force.

This band's got a cool classic-rock ring to it. Everything is very upbeat and quick. If there's a real rock group from Taiwan, this one's it. - Jeff
