I think like most Japanese folks, I first heard their single ロビンソン on CDTV. It just stayed there on the charts for weeks and won't go away. That's not to say I don't like it. In fact I think it's really catchy. Since ロビンソン is no longer available at the local San Jose Kinokuniya, I waited until their ハチミツ CD came out and grabbed it. Since then I've become a loyal fan. Good pop music is dime-a-dozen in Asia, but good rock-n-roll is hard to find.
渚 is ok, but is it me or are they on the decline? Their later stuff just can't seem to top ロビンソン.
I then picked up インディゴ地平線. Same feel as ハチミツ. "花泥棒" is pretty fun to listen to. - Bo
4/7/1998: Got 夢じゃない and 運命の人. 夢じゃない is a damned good song. I haven't heard the original, but this arrangement is great. The music video is also very nicely done. 運命の人 is not bad either. It starts out nicely, but loses some catchiness to it during the chorus part. - Bo
6/6/1998: I'll reserve judgement on Fake fur until I listen to it a bit more. - Bo
11/1/1998: I'm backtracking now and got 空の飛び方. It's quite good, but nothing out of the ordinary. - Bo
3/26/1999: Got Crispy". It's not as good as their later stuff. I probably won't be backtracking anymore. - Bo
